about a week before your period it feels like the switch is on

About a week before your period… it feels like “the switch is on”!
Your body starts releasing a combo of physical and emotional “secretions,” like you’re about to enter a full-blown hormone party:

😞 Sudden sadness, depression, crying for no reason.
😤 Anger, headaches, irritability, feeling like your blood is boiling and you’re a ticking time bomb.
🩹 Pain in the lower abdomen or back.
📈 Sudden weight gain.
💩 Constipation or diarrhea, and sometimes urinary issues.
🍫 Unusual food cravings, especially for sweets and sometimes salty snacks.

And all of this happens because your period is just a few days away.

Don’t worry… this is normal, and it’s what we call:
Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS)

📌 These symptoms usually start about 5 to 11 days before your period begins, and they go away as soon as your period starts or within two days at most.
