As we have previously explained, the niche is considered a defect or a rupture in the uterine wall. In the presence of endometriosis along with the uterine niche, this leads to the spread of endometrial tissue and its invasion into many areas surrounding the uterus. This is due to the presence of that defect, which serves as an open pathway facilitating the deepening of the endometrial tissue.
