Uterine Niche (Cesarean Scar Defect)

A uterine niche is a defect or tear in the uterus at the site of a previous cesarean section scar. It results from improper healing of the surgical wound, and mucous fluid may accumulate in the area. In severe cases, it can lead to uterine rupture during a subsequent pregnancy.
