Not every fibroid affects pregnancy,

Not every fibroid affects pregnancy,
but the ones located inside the uterine cavity itself can really mess things up from the start!

So, how does that happen?
Submucosal fibroid:
This type grows inside the cavity where the embryo is supposed to implant and develop—it’s like someone has locked the door from the inside!

What can the fibroid cause?

  • Prevent implantation of the embryo
  • Cause recurring, painful bleeding
  • Increase the risk of miscarriage
  • Lower the chances of natural pregnancy or IVF success
Even if it’s small, it can still have a huge impact!

Another issue is that it’s sometimes misdiagnosed as other conditions like endometrial thickening or polyps, so accurate diagnosis and treatment are essential.

Cervical fibroid:

  • Rare, but very difficult to deal with
  • Can cause severe pain during intercourse
  • Puts pressure on the bladder and rectum
  • Causes abnormal discharge or bleeding
Its location is extremely sensitive due to its proximity to nerves and veins, making its removal very tricky and requiring special expertise.

The solution?
Both types need accurate diagnosis and continuous monitoring…
But the good news?
Treatment is available, and results improve significantly with the right intervention!
